BCSSA 2020 Spring Forum

Event Cancelled - Transforming Learning for Adolescent Students

The British Columbia School Superintendents Association is pleased to invite you to our annual Spring Forum, Transforming Learning for Adolescent Students, to be held on April 17, 2020 at the Westin Bayshore, Vancouver.

This professional learning opportunity will highlight the redesigned curriculum, focusing on the Core Competencies, Graduation Program offerings, Capstone, and student engagement through the use of digital portfolios.  We are excited to welcome David Burns from Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Vivian Collyer from the Qualicum School District, and Leyton Schnellert from the University of British Columbia.  As we are in the early stages of implementing the Graduation Program, each presenter will speak to engaging, deepening, and transforming learning for adolescent students.

This full day session is relevant for district and school-based leaders/administrators, teacher leaders, and enrolling/non-enrolling Gr 7-12 teachers. Districts are encouraged to bring a team of educators.

If you have specific questions pertaining to the theme that you would like our presenters to address at the conference, please click here to submit.
