BCSSA 2022 Summer Leadership Academy

BCSSA 2022 Summer Leadership Academy, Reimagining Leadership: Walking Side By Side

The BCSSA Professional Learning Committee and the Leadership Competencies Advisory Committee are looking forward to the Summer Leadership Academy and our opportunity to reconnect, reflect and begin building a Path to Ownership of our BCSSA Leadership Competencies.

An ambitious agenda will include the big picture “Why” with Louise Stoll and Michael Fullan (via video link), a ‘flash’ introduction to the five competencies in our framework and a series of opportunities for discussion and reflection facilitated by Kevin Godden on behalf of the Leadership Competencies Advisory Committee

The activities are designed to be accessible by participants with a range of familiarity with the BCSSA Leadership Competencies. We invite you to spend some time with the competencies document, The Spirit of Leadership, in advance of the session for deeper engagement.  The final document will be available to BCSSA members at the beginning of August.

As part of our continued commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, we will learn from the Lil’wat and Squamish Nations as they share their culture and teachings with us.  We will kick it off in style with a not to be missed celebration and party with surprise entertainment on Wednesday!

The conference begins at 5pm on Wednesday, August 17th and ends at 12pm on Friday, August 19th. The conference fee includes dinner on August 17th, breakfast and lunch on August 18th, and breakfast on August 19th.
