Stewardship of Identity and Belonging

Together, we will explore how education systems can benefit from the intentional stewardship of identity and belonging

FEATURED SPEAKERS:

  • Andy Hargreaves: dive into the complexities of identity with insights from his latest research.
  • Andrew Stobo Sniderman & Douglas Sanderson will explore the intricate interplay between the identities of Indigenous people in Waywayseecapo, Ukrainian immigrants, and government policies as told in their acclaimed book, Valley of the Birdtail.
  • Dr. Gwendolyn Point: Gain a unique perspective on identity and intersectionality within the BC educational landscape from a well-respected and well-recognized Stó:lō leader, mentor, and cultural advisor.

PRE-CONFERENCE SESSIONS

These sessions are held pre-conference for new members and new superintendents but are open to all members. Registration for these sessions does not include access to the entire conference or accommodation information. If you wish to attend the full conference in addition to these sessions, please complete a second registration using the link on the left.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations must be made at least 12 business days before the conference date.
  • Cancellations made within this period will be eligible for a full refund, minus a processing fee of $20.00.
  • Cancellations made less than 12 business days before the conference will not be eligible for a refund.

Associated Costs:

The processing fee covers administrative costs associated with registration and preparation for the conference. These costs include, but are not limited to:

  • Administrative processing of registration and cancellation requests
  • Materials and resources allocated for your participation
  • Venue and service provider commitments
